FLOS table lamp TATOU T

Flos Tatou T by Patricia Urquiola is a table lamp with diffuse light. Patricia Urquiola has concieved the lamp Flos Tatou T searching on the reconstruction of membranes, immagined in the way of Japanese armors. In an interview Patricia Urquiola explains her thought: for the table lamp Flos Tatou T the purpose was to maintain a strong handicraft connotation getting a serial product. Thast’s how has born the idea of this lamp, formed of four identical elements, woven and molded to create the uniform dome. Thanks to this system unique plays of shadows are therefore created because the diffuser allows not only a direct illumination upwards or down, but it also allows the emanation of the light in that discreet way through the pierced bands of the diffuser. The term Tatou with its soft sonority is really in sync with the emotional function of the lamp. The lamp Flos Tatou T exists in various colours which allow to give a particular intensity to the light. With a modern touch but chasteness at the same time which units the research science with the creative emotionality, this product will reveal itself the ideal one to everyone looking for design.
