Inspired by the classic table lamp with lampshade, Lumiere was designed in 1990 by Rodolfo Dordoni and immediumtely became one of the best sellers in the Foscarini collection, characterised by the original and harmonious combination of the essential form of the diffuser in mouth-blown glass and the slim support of the characteristic tripod in aluminium alloy. In 2015 the lamp is modernised with the introduction of new color shades for the diffuser – keeping the white internal layer to help reflect the light – and a new finish for the tripod, demonstrating the surprising modernity of one the cult pieces of the collection.
