FONTANA ARTE wall lamp IO

In 1610, Galileo Galilei discovered a satellite of Jupiter, named IO after one of the many lovers of Zeus from Greek mythology. Through his telescope at Padua University, Galileo saw a dot of light and realized it was a small bright, reddish yellow moon. Shaped like a small curved lunar disc, Io Fontana Arte is a wall lamp designed for LED light sources. Thanks to its dual-axis rotation frame, it has the distinguishing feature rotating on both longitudinal and transverse axes, for total light management. IO is easy to handle and adjust thanks to its size, the Up/Down movement on the external diffuser widens and narrows the ray of light.Like a satellite with the planet around which it orbits, the IO lamp appears almost suspended, very close to the wall yet never touching it, positioned at a distance that allows the light to gently caress the wall in an intimate wall-washing effect. Designed to provide light that is as personal and adjustable as possible, this lamp is ideal at the bedside but its versatility also makes it an excellent solution for illuminating walls in an office or corridors in a hotel. Despite its small size and ease of maneuver, the screen in die-cast aluminum conveys great sturdiness, as does the wall mounted base.
