Knoll Bertoia collection is innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, Harry Bertoia's side chair's delicate filigree appearance belies its strength and durability. The Bertoia stool is part of Harry Bertoia's iconic 1952 wire collection, an astounding study in space, form and function by one of the master sculptors of the last century. The frame is a welded steel construction with rods in polish or satin chrome. Seat cushions secure to chair with lock-snaps. The seat pad is available in a variety of upholsteries. Leather is not available on fully upholstered versions. This product is available with foam that meets requirements for BS5852. Awards: Designer of the Year, USA, 1955 - Certificate of Merit, American Institute of Architects - Design Center Stutgart Award, Germany, 1962.
