KARTELL stool ROY

After 30 years Alessandro Mendini finds again Kartell: from the first contribution with the magazine Modo the Italian designer and architect Alessandro Mendini begins its first artistic collaboration with the Kartell world. In the florid reality of the Furniture Fair 2015, the esteem Italian designer and architect Alessandro Mendini crowns the collaboration with Kartell introducing Roy. In a "ping pong among distant reminiscences, a meeting among East and West" Mendini explains, "I have realized the historical Chinese stool in ceramics" that introduces a complimentary pattern to the artist Roy Lichtenstein as suggested by the pointillism and by the pop colors, actually calling it Roy.
