Knoll Bertoia collection is innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, Harry Bertoia's side chair's delicate filigree appearance belies its strength and durability. The Bertoia side chair is available with a seat pad or fully upholstered. A back pad is also an option for the version with seat pad. The Knoll logo is stamped into the base of the chair. The frame is a welded steel construction with rods in polish or satin chrome or bonded white or black Rilsan. Seat cushions have fabric edges and secure to chair with lock-snaps. The unupholstered Side Chairs in Rilsan are also appropriate for outdoor environments. This product is available with foam that meets requirements for BS5852. Awards: Designer of the Year, USA, 1955 - Certificate of Merit, American Institute of Architects - Design Center Stutgart Award, Germany, 1962.
